So today I got a request to pay the RFPR fees. I did right away. I called the CIC just to check the status of my application. The agent said that your file is in Ottawa. She said we are waiting to start the Background check. She also said something that confused me. She said your eligibility shows in progress- pass. I am not sure what that even means. She said the eligibility is almost done but it said in progress- pass. Below is my timeline


CEC Inland
AOR : August 28
Travel history for wife request- Sept 11
Medical pass- Sep 20
Background still shows your application is in progress.
RFPR request : October 23

Any thoughts?

It means your eligibility check has been completed (passed) and your security check will begin.

I am AOR Aug 19 FSW-O, still in IP1 with no request for anything yet. So frustrating!

Seeing some people get quick PPR and knowing yours is moving at snails pace is killing ...

I am 20th August AOR, I am also stuck at IP2 from last so many days.

This is little confusing. It seems you're still in IP1 if your BGC says "we are processing your application...." Also, I can be wrong, because the wordings are so random now.

My AOR is Aug 20 (MEP Sep 5th), currently I've "we are processing your BGC..." and "No add doc required", which I am assuming IP2. What they meant by eligibility, I guess is to see whether you're qualified for the category (e.g., your letter, NOC etc). Don't worry, you will be getting your PPR soon. Also, having dependents under CEC gets PPR quicker.

Don't forget, we really can't do anything unless we finish 6 months.

Please guide what stage the application is at?

When your background check changes from " not applicable " to " we are processing your back ground check" you move into IP2 stage.Your IP1 is done.

Most probably your application has been moved to another visa office from CIO. Follow the first post of this thread to check your visa office.
