It might have something to do with your eligibility or some parts in your background check. This usually happens when your file is touched by the visa officer. May be call IRCC to find out the exact specifics?

My timeline so far:
AOR: August 29th
Biometric/Med request: Oct 9th
Bio received: October 15th
Med passed: October 22nd,
Info Sharing: Passed
Criminality: Passed
Eligibility: Recommended Passed Nov 25th (Based on call to IRCC, Eligibility updated to "In Progress" on tracker)
Security: Not Started

PVO/SVO:Kitchener/Vancouver

At this point, I'm just waiting for a senior officer to pick up my file and review the eligibility and start the Security check right? I'm wondering if it's possible to receive a FD before Christmas. I have heard people having their case stuck in this situation for months, and we are nearing the holiday.

Congratulations! Having a recommended passed is a huge step towards FD. Chances are your security already might have got initiated. Now just hope that your case officer picks up your file and just passes it ultimately. Hopefully you get your FD before the holiday season kicks in! Fingers Crossed!

Hi when you received your ITA? Mine also same day Aug 29 AOR received . Gc key shows eligibility and background check still under process.on tracker eligibility still shows not started.
