Most of us who applied in Aug 2023 are in the same boat. No updates after medicals were received.
Background verification is in progress, eligibiity not started according to the IRCC tracker.

It took almost a month after the medical completed. I received Pre-Arrival Services letter last Dec. 14 and Eligibility completed on Dec. 16. Got a ghost update on Dec. 18. and until now there is nothing. Background check is still in progress.

The inquiries you made on Dec 12 and 20, were they in response to any specific request from IRCC?
Since I have roughly the same application date as you but the application still says background check in progress and eligibility not started since November, I was wondering if there is anything we could do to move it forward.

Eligibility - Not Started
Background Verification - In Progress

bg verification has been in progress since i started checking tracker.
Anyways, my question is, I applied for TRV on December 19th. And haven't gotten a single update since now. There was a ghost update on Jan 12th, and I believe at this point eligibility changed from Completed to In Progress (weird). But ya, almost 30 days and no response. (background verification and eligibility is in progress)
Is the family reunification policy still active? Is there a likelihood of the TRV being accepted? If so, how long is it normally taking for them to reply, i thought the policy was trying to get replies within 30 days.

Hey thanks for the timeline, can I ask, what was the message sent on Sept 28 and November 8th? Did they send a message and if so where did they send it? I got the same notification but not sure what it means and haven't received any messages anywhere
sept 28- AOR Recieved
nov 8- payment requested for biometric, cz we didnt pay upfront
