August 2023 - Citizenship Applications

Hello everyone,

I am trying to submit my online application for citizenship but I am facing an issue and I hope someone here can help me.

While trying to submit my minor kids application, I am unable to add her photo as I don't see any buttons or links in the page. Also, I am unable to add the address of the photographer as the address country dropdown is blank. I have tried it with multiple browsers and on my phone, the issue remains same. Anyone faced or facing same issue? If yes, how did you work around that?

Any help is appreciated.

So... I found a tedious solution and want to share just in case someone else runs into the same issue. I eventually deleted by kids application and recreated it. It wasn't fast but since the information to be provided for minor is not as comprehensive as adults, it was ok. I was able to complete the application finally.

Yup! In fact, the date on the AOR document is Sept 15 (same as yours) but I got the email today (Sept 16) morning.
AOR says that the Case Processing Centre is Sydney, NS. What about yours?

Does it change over the course of processing or stay the same?

Looking at the recent track record, it seems like 3-4 weeks after AOR.

Concern 1:
In the online Application portal of Citizenship, when I login it still shows Submitted (this is NOT AoR).... does anyone has experienced the same?

Concern 2: I open the AoR PDF from Email and clicked link to Track application. It prompts me to create account in PR tracker account.
It asks UCI and Application Number.
I gave my UCI and the application Number which I received in the Citizenship AoR.. But it says 'Incorrect or Invalid Information'
Has anyone come across this?

Concern 3:
I submitted the online Application from Canada, but after submitting I moved to USA on temp work visa. I still have my house and mailing address in Canada. Do I need to notify IRRC (for citizenship) that I have moved temporarily? (Note: i did attached scan of my US work visa in the 'other doc' section of citizenship application, for transparency).

Mine is same, I received AOR email on Sep 14 but online account still says we will send you AOR fro when I initially submitted application.
Also, have you checked with lawyer if it is OK to move to US while Canada citizenship application being processed? Are they going to require you to come back to give you certification ?Appreciate sharing your experince, I want to temp. move out of Canada too but I am afraid my application would take too long or be rejected...

I think all AOR emails are sending from Sydney .

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding name change. I have not been able to get an answer yet.

I became a PR as a single lady and got married afterwards. I have not changed my last name on my PR card but my driver’s license is in new name.

While submitting my citizenship application, the system asked for my name as stated on my PR card and also if I have changed names since becoming PR.

When I entered my maiden name, the applicant name automatically changed to my maiden name. I attached my marriage certificate, drivers licence and a letter of explanation.

My question is…..does anyone know if my application AND citizenship certificate will be issued in my maiden name or the new one?

great! I heard the center changes afterward once our file is forwarded for processing.
