For paper based application, how do we receive the AOR? I am assuming via email that will have the application number and that application number can used to link the application in IRCC account. Is that right?

Hello Everyone!

I have a couple of doubts about my application, which I hope can be answered by folks here who may have encountered similar situation.

1. I came to canada on a work permit, in 2018. Initially the permit was for only 1 year and before its expiry, I had applied for its extension which got approved for upto 2021. However, In 2019, I also applied for PR and it was approved in Aug 2019.

So, in the section for Physical presence calculator, It asks for previous temporary status and its expiry date. As per the second WP I received, the expiry date was of 2021. However, the system does not accept it because it says the date has to be before the date I became PR.

So, in this case, is it okay to put 1 day before I became PR as the date of expiry of temporary status as foreign worker ?


2. Under the work, school and activities section, Do we need to mention about any vacation periods (such as 2-3 months) as well even while I was not unemployed ? OR should I just mention the whole period as Employed ?

Question 1: Yes. Use one day before COPR date as end date for temporary residence.
Question 2: if you retained your job during your vacation, I would consider this time as employed

When you receive your AOR you will be given a UCI with that you can track your application. Before AOR: can not be tracked since there's nothing to track yet.
