Hi All,

I applied online in August 2022. Wanted to get an idea of when to expect LPP processing complete and invitation to Oath Ceremony. Thanks in advance for your help!

Oh my, sounds like they are not having it at all. You can call the Airline and see if you get out on a later flight. good luck

Yeah we're fine because her oath is in morning and we're leaving in afternoon. Our main concern was returning but they are issuing e-certificate of citizenship of hopefully it'll arrive within a week after ceremony. And we're flying via Detroit so we'll be crossing border via land, which means we'll be able to cross border just using citizenship certificate.

Has anyone had a minor family member who got invited to ceremony? My daughter got invited to Oath ceremony but she's 2 year old. Not sure what they'll expect. She certainly won't follow instructions

They send it for kids if you selected that option while submitting the application.

Childer under 14 yrs can skip the ceremony or be present if they wish. Make sure you keep her PR card with you since they will ask you to cut the cards including minors.

Are you sure entry into Canada with Citizenship certificate is allowed??

I know this to be true for children under 15 yrs old, adults need a Canadian passport or they cannot enter canada unless this is new, would love to learn too

Canadians cannot be denied entry into Canada. Full stop. Period.

Also, how many days after the oath invitation the ceremony will take place?

Yes very normal! you will get it in 2 weeks b4 so Monday!! also, the tracker has instructions if you do not get the email within 6 days of the oath
