Very interesting! From what I've seen VAN does move faster than MTL

We shall see. After my experience with a PR card renewal, I take everything the agents say with a grain of salt!

Yours might have been moved as well. She described the Mtl office as "overloaded" and said they were trying to send applications to other locations.

I made a mistake which I have realized today. I got document request (copies of passport) along with the test Invitation on 6th April 2022, somehow I missed that part of the notice. Today while reading the notice again I have realized that I missed the 30 days deadline. Subsequently I have sent the scanned copies of my passport today with an apology to the e-mail ID provided with the notice. Do you think IRCC will accept this? Need your expert opinion on this. Thanks

Update:
Citizenship tracker says Test Invite sent but haven't received any email yet.
Hopefully will receive soon. Feeling a bit relieved!

Update -
Test taken on: 4th July.
Test results updated as of: 5th July.

Any idea how many more months until the Oath Ceremony?

Was the passport request shown on the online tracker? I’ve done my test but I never received my test invite email so I wouldn’t know if they included a request for passport copies.

No. It never showed on the tracker. When the test was due, it was showing “waiting on you“. But for the PP copies it never showed anything.

(TL; DR: They're piloting e-certs!)

This is great news, will be able to receive it without dealing with postal issues and I believe it will be quicker to get the e-cert compared to a physical cert.

Just talked to IRCC. The agent said my file had been moved from Montreal to Vancouver. I am not taking that as gospel, but I hope I get some movement now. How are Vancouver applications doing these days?
