August 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Experts of the group....just for my understanding....I see ppl from Ontario getting Oath confirmation in late June and the Oath dates are in a week or 2...whereas, Alberta ppl are getting Oath confirmation on Mid June and Oath ceremony dates in August...!!! The ceremony is online...!! Why would the dates vary for the different provinces...is it like separate sessions are arranged by different IRCC offices..??

If you look up citizenship practice tests, there are a bunch available from local libraries around the country.

oath ceremonies are conducted within the province and specific to the IRCC office. Also note that there is a quota of number of seats for oath per month for each IRCC office, so even if the application is completely processed you might have to wait for the oath seats specific to your office.

so my question is, its been a month since i gave my finger print and its taking forever to receive the result.
Called GRC they said can take up to 120 business day … is it true ?
Have you any idea whats the timeline ?
anyone was asked for fingerprint lately can share the experience please ? Specialy from Montreal, Quebec
And did grc send the result to cic or to us ?

It usually takes a week for them to search you up, then print it, then send it directly to the citizenship office. It would take about a month starting from you giving your fingerprints then they update the information on the tracker. The fingerprinting office will notify the citizenship office that you have given your fingerprints

120 business days only applies when you have criminal records.

I just got an email from IRCC requesting copies of my passport pages. How typical is that? Just trying to gauge if it's a good sign or a bad sign.

Any update since then? I hope this doesn't mean applications will take longer!
