I got an update for submitting fingerprints. where can i get that done ? Can i do that at the local OPP office ?
I live in a remote city. I just have OPP office here. Otherwise I will have to travel to another city to submit fingerprints.
Any suggestions ?
Nov-17 AOR, my BG verification is still pending and no sign of test. I won't be surprised if the process took 104 weeks.
For my wife & kid's application it took 104 weeks since they received the application.
Thanx a lot for the motivation...!!! But yeah....I am 100% with you on this....nothing that we can do.... the only hope is...I have seen some improvement in lead time for 2 of my friends. One applied Q1 of last year vs the one applied Q2 last year....we r Q3...hence fingers crossed...!!

The OPP have noted in their website that they have transferred the FP services for Criminal Record Check to local detachments ( Like Toronto Police). And Toronto Police has mentioned all FP requests should go to RCMP accredited services.
So basically wait till you get the letter from IRCC and then go to the private services who can submit your FP
To be fair, it's not so groundbreaking like we all seem to be making it.
The previous 12 months processing time was the service standard that IRCC committed to (which they weren't adhering to anyways) while the updated processing time reflects the actual times it's taking most (c.a. 80%) to be completed. IRCC just decided to start living in the "real world".
I've seen some applicants here from Toronto who got FP request from Vancouver but their application is being processed in local offices like Hamilton, Mississauga etc.

i Don't think the employees are lasy, they are just doing their jobs with the tools they have and the time they can. Ircc should simply hire more people, but the "elected" awlays say no don't hire people and they go into firing them.. so yes .. they might have more money, it will not mean they will hire because the elected decided not to. It's interesting as we are into becoming Canadians to look at our provinces politics and federal politics, also municipal and start earning knowledge on how to keep this country working. We all came from our homecountries for a better life so we need to exercice our rights to vote once we are citizens.
I know I might sound like Bla Bla Bla
but to be honest, the test helped me understand a lot about this country and about the struggles in game. I really want to be fully part of it. I really want to know where goes every penny of my taxes.
