Hi All,

Anyone from August 2020 application for test invite letter? My status is showing "In Progress".
Here is the timeline -

1. App Sent: Aug 01, 2020
2. App Delivered: Aug 18, 2020
3. AOR Received: Jan 10, 2021
4. In process ecas: Jan 28, 2021

Is there any way to contact them and ask for status?

Please check ur status on the new tracker, if your BG checks are completed the next step should be test ideally.

You can try reaching them over the phone, I have had no luck. They automated response cuts you off and disconnects, you can try calling early but IMO the call centre agents are clueless sometimes. Better send a webform inquiry.

we also received the request for passport colored pictures /scanned copies, but for us, it is DM.

It appears that the email is a technical glitch. But one needs to be sure.

Hello Guys,

I have completed my Oath on Sept 08, 2021 and my Application is approved and closed now in Online Tracker. However, Today morning I received a request to email to send Passport copy. Does anyone has same issue? I don't understand why CIC needs my Passport Copy after becoming Canadian Citizen.

I think there was another applicant that reported this and I just think this is bonkers. Must be a mistake. IMO, you can safely ignore this.

Citizenship Oath invite - Sept 29th - But postponed it due to travel plans to next year.. so wishing everyone all the best in application process.

Also Raj in the tracker i think last post i mentioned updates in April 18 , it was actual Aug 18th , please correct that .

In the spreadsheet what does Test Interview date mean? I haven't received any interview requests but cleared my test.

Some of us may get called for an in person interview as well, for most applicants, it is just Test,
You can ignore the interview part in spreadsheet unless they ask you to come for one.

What about getting the same request after a DM?

we already sent the scanned passport copies, but does it matter? Should we call them and ask about it now or a few days from now?

Haha i am on the same boat, but take it easy, we cant do anything other then waiting, and there is no use wasting time calling them. Just be patient. What is your Visa Office? Mine is Kitchener and they are sleeping at the moment and will come out of hibernation in Winters.

how do you know which office is processing your citizenship application ?
I live in Waterloo, ON and my fingerprint had to be sent to Vancouver office. Does that mean my application is being processed from Vancouver office ?

Has anyone from Surrey, BC, office received test invite? Completed background check in March 2021. Total radio silence since then. This is ridiculous.

No, I didn't make any post for the test. I was done with the entire process including taking picture of ID and taking my picture and the test all within 12 - 15 minutes. The process is pretty simple.

Is picture of ID taken from the webcam when you take the test?

Also my colleague who received test invite from Scarborough did not get an email yet, the tracker was updated two days ago. Is there a delay usually?
