Is there other study materials beside the discover Canada booklet that I can use to prepare for this test I am excited about getting the invite however I am also nervous so any other resources would greatly be appreciated
Hi,
I applied for citizenship in August 2020. As of now, last update I received was in April 23 - my background check was done.
Now I see that Prohibitions,Language and Physical presence are In progress.
I am wondering, can anything go wrong at this point?
if they already did the background check, does it mean I am qualified and all good?
It has been so long (a year this month!) since I applied, and I am honestly a bit worried why it takes so long...
I am Vancouver, BC just in case if location makes any difference.

I applied before you by 9 months and still waiting after the test. Only test and BG are completed. Waiting forever is the new norm for IRCC because of ... we all know what
1. Criminality Checks (RCMP) and Security Checks (CSIS)
2. Yup, there are several applicants waiting, unfortunately.
3. There isn't a standard timeline. Expect at least 3 - 5 months to get an oath notification from the date the test status is set to "Completed".
Everyone,
Someone posted in a Facebook group that her husband got a call for an in-person oath ceremony for only 15 people in Toronto and he was asked to bring proof of his vaccination.
Do check the post.

Already in online they are accommodating more than 30-50+.
Hopefully they dont take months to do phase wise and waste time, just like the online citizenship test/oath/application. If they dont start inviting 100+ then it will be further delay.

Mass ceremonies are the way to go, since they are asking for vaccination status. Although I think IRCC shud have no business checking peoples health status like in America.

Yeah, I disagree. When you gather people indoors and with the risk of the delta variant increasing (possibly might lead to 4th wave), I think it is perfectly rational and reasonable to check the vaccination status of applicants. Yes, there are cases where the applicants cannot be vaccinated due to other medical conditions and I completely agree that there should be exceptions made for them but otherwise, I think it is totally fine if they ask for vaccination status.

Correct. I have been asking working from home just because my company decided to open up their business without even restricting only for vaccinated employees. Later after seeing the cases rise in the state, now they sent email saying only vaccinated should be coming to office.

Asking vaccination status is safe for all. Even vaccinated are getting infected hence no vaccine is more danger. If people dont want to vaccine can just ask them for virtual oath anyway.
But one can have philosophical/political/personal view on vaccine but they should also consider whats safe for others.

Yup seen that happen. Watever gets us to the finish line! Hope they call for in-person mass ceremonies (in a convention center) and clear the backlog sooner or later.
