Nobody can tell you when it will happen but by the looks of it, might happen soon. Give it 2 - 4 weeks and Mississauga office might set your Physical Presence, Language and Prohibitions to "Completed". Several September 2020 applicants have also received this request in the past week.
Its amusing to see people whose BG checks were set to complete and finished the test still complain about the delay when a good # of people have not seen any movement at all in their application.. oh well.. to each their own I guess

People are even complaining even after oath for waiting for certificate. what to say. Some never will get satisfied even if cic completes their application within 6 months.
Looks like our time line is same since starting, and on Thursday i submitted fingerprint at my local police station, how long will it take to update in portal ?

with the delays in processing applications, everyone is stressed ... regardless of their current processing stage, everyone's life decisions or plans have been affected in a way or the other. even if their BG check is completed, it doesn't make them in a better position not to be distressed or shouldn't complain, they still are in waiting phase as well as everyone else.
All we can do here is be patient with each other as we are all in the same boat my friend
This is how they are working i guess:
May to Jul: They sent test invites for most of windsor 2020 applicants.
Aug/Sep to Oct/Nov: They will do DM and/or send oath invites
They do like bulk invites, like a seasonal work - one stage every few months for the previous year applicants.

During pre-pandemic itself it was 12 months standard processing time. So you cant complain yet for another 5 months for not completing oath.
Myself already 19 months. Just wrote test 2 weeks ago while many 2020 wrote test months before me and some even completed oath.
I am also complaining on why later applicants are attended before me.
I hope that my application doesnt fall in the process gap cracks and finish oath in the next few months as they are moving fast to later part of 2020(which is my fear that early part of 2020 would be left out in the name of non-routine).

Geez this seems like a marathon run, I didn't even pass the test stage yet. With the country opening up slowly slowly you may expect IRCC to start picking up or coming with a detail plan on how to reduce backlog but nope. I hope after this citizenship I won't deal with this department anymore.

Seems you got fingerprint request 2 months ago. Its the delay for the test or else you would have received the test in May itself.
This fingerprint come in the way for some applicants' that delay 2-3 months.

Not me but my wife did, I passed my BG in Feb. 2021 and I guess her application is delaying mine don't want to tell her that, I don't want to open a second front with her too so one front ( IRCC) is painful enough.

Oh, yes thats possible delay. I hope that your officer segregates your application to move your application faster from next stage at least.
This fingerprint request only for some is a stupid process to do it just for some and not doing it for all and mainly at the middle of the process which becomes bottleneck for completion of rest of the process steps.
Test invite and FP initiation should be done along with AOR for all 13+ to avoid this kind of stupid delays. We and officers can save lot of time as officers have to go through the application review multiple times back and forth which waste time.
Even though I check my tracker everyday. I'm still trying to just accept the situation as it is. I can definitely understand the frustration of persons waiting for some ridiculously longtime. I don't even want to think about how IRCC operates because it is confusing as hell.
