August 2020 - Citizenship application

Looking at the trend of 2020 on the Tracker spreadsheet, currently CIC seems to be working on March apps (In Process is 43% currently). Assuming CIC continues at its current pace, our batch is looking for ECAS to become In Process around August 2021. Further, no one from 2020 have gone to the next stage of Test Invitation. I just hope that as the 2nd pandemic wave picks up with no short term end, CIC devises ways to ramp up. It will also be a big relief once they resume the Tests.

Well your application depends on how quickly your local ircc office gets your application... So it all depends on your local office from now onwards.

Question to those who received AOR: Did you send your application via courier to the courier address or by Canada Post to the PO Box address?

I sent it via courier from the UPS store

My application was delivered august 18, lets see if I hear anything in the next few days.

May be or May be last name Theory behind it. Someone commented that CIC is giving AORs based on last names.

We have the same timeline. I resent my application on Aug 17, received on (around) Aug 20 . Still waiting. What’s this surname theory? Just a theory right? My last name starts with A

Its I ... Since F got AOR yesterday and I is after that so I can assume they work on files based on last name

Not true, mine was sent by Canada Post and I got AOR last Sunday. Also my First & Last name starts with V, so even the last name theory goes out of the window.
