Your criminality may be in progress is your biometrics are pending or have not been added to your file, or if any of your PCC is pending.

Also, if you are inland applicant, your criminality may be pending until later in the processing and you may be asked for a RCMP PCC.

I got a GU today but there is no change in the status, I am still in IP1 was hoping to see if it changed to IP2. AOR - Aug 24 and VO - Ottawa. First GU since Oct 16.

I also got a GU yesterday but no changes in status. My AOR is August 6th.

when you say GU, what you see on the profile and how do you know it's a GU ?

I guess what they mean is that the profile instead of submitted and read you would see update/profile and unread. That's what I know ghost update is.

OK, i see that for my application for the 1st time yesterday since last update on 22-Oct for medical, may be that's because of system issue.

When you login into CIC website, usually you see status as submitted. Sometimes it changes to Application/Profile updated instead of submitted. Usually indicates some sort of progress, now this progress can be seen in profile like from IP1 to IP2 like that or may not be seen at all i.e. no change in your profile. This what considered to be Ghost Update. This term is not official and coined by more experienced folks in this forum.

Na, dont think so, If this is a system glitch everyone would have received the same update regardless of their current status (Trying to be optimistic lol).
