August 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

Hey guys, I applied in August 2019 and received the AOR in November or December 2019. But there has been no movement since then. I checked both the old and new application status portal. I called in and the representative said they have everything they need. Anything I should worry about?

You really need to get your gcms notes. By now 90 percent of 2019 applicants are test completed.

I am July 2019 candidate in same boat as well. No test yet. Background is still in Progress. Scarborough office.

that is unfortunate. order gcms notes to see where ur file is stuck.

The 90% may be true for first half of 2019, but I really doubt, if 90% of second-half 2019 got test invites. So many 2019 applicants post in FB forum that they are still waiting for test.

And I feel around 70% of July-Dec-2019 are still waiting for test invites, and only 30% got invites and most, if not all of the 70% remaining are mostly family applicants.

Especially last three months (Oct-Nov-Dec-2019) took big hit due to pandemic. I guess, it will take another 6-9 months for those people who applied in second-half of the 2019.

But if they open the offices (due to recent mandatory vaccine for all federal workers by JT) then it might go a bit fast.

In any case, Life is not fair. And it is one of those instances. Just accept, and wait. Patience is virtue. Peace!

OK, some good news... status changed to Decision Made on August 4, 2021. Didn't get a notification or anything, just happened to check out of pure boredom. Not sure what this means in terms of timeline, not getting my hopes up...

Could you please provide the date you received your test invite email and the date you took the citizenship test, thanks?

I checked at end of July and my status had been updated to COMPLETED on all except for Citizenship Ceremony, which shows "Not Started".

That's weird. Are you sure you checked ECAS?

Same boat here - AOR Nov 2019, also Scarborough office and no updates/no test invite. ATIP’d myself and background checks still in process.

Many 2020 are finished with their process months ago. So no use of relying on that processing timeline.

I got the GCMS notes back in March or April, and I also called in. The notes and representative told me it's still stuck at the Sydney office.
Nothing is complete, not even the background check. My case is pretty simple. So I don't know what's happening.

Hi Everyone, this is my timeline for citizenship. Just wondering if anyone can share the email address in the oath invite email to reschedule the oath ceremony for Scarborough Office? I will leave Canada due to work in October and it would be very difficult for me to travel back to Canada and take the oath in December. Thanks in advance!
