Finally my background check is complete. This is the first update since Jan2020. I am seeing some light at the end of the tunnel!
MP told me already my application is not routine.

Fingers crossed to get test invitation.

Finally got the fingerprint request this morning from IRCC Vancouver!! I’m in Toronto and my application is being processed in Mississauga. Whatever, have completed the request. Let’s see what comes next, 33 months in process and way to go!

Depends from case to case. It takes anywhere between 2 weeks to 3 months from D.M. to Oath. In my case it was 3 months.

Has anyone been asked to send copies of all pages of their passport? how can someone send it? is it online? I didn't get such a request yet but I'm scanning my passports to have them ready in case I get asked to send them

I had to send it to them. In my case, i had a lot of stamps that required translation as well. So I mailed them along with the translations.

During the interview, the officer mentioned "FOIA request" as I had many trips between US and Canada. It took me many months to get this document after the interview. I received FOIA doc request on Feb-24-2022 and submitted the doc Apr-1-2022

I submitted my application on Aug2019 but was stuck in background check till May2022! I can't wait for next steps till passport.
I guess I am the most delayed applicant .

Congrats. I got an invite back in March and passed the test but still my background check shows in progress beside all other criteria. Would you be able to tell me if your BG check updated recently?

Yes, on 25 May my background check turned to complete.
