My last update was MEP at the beginning of September, then nothing for months... I’m CEC inland, so they said they don’t need my police certificate or biometrics.
Yesterday, I got an email request for the police certificate form my home country. Is it a weird timeframe? I just don’t understand why they didn’t inquire that back in September? My understanding is that police/criminality stuff is always requested with biometrics...
If your medical is passed in early September, then I guess your AOR should be around early/mid August, so it took them almost 4 months to reach the criminality check stage, which is indeed a little bit slow compared to some applications being processed super fast, but it is definitely still within the normal timeframe.
I’m Russian, so yes, I’m required to submit a police certificate (although I left the country only 4 months after I turned 18, so i don’t know how their six months rule works but whatever). I got it ahead of time, so I submitted it yesterday. Just wasn’t sure about the timeline.
My last set of notes generated at the end of October shows criminality in progress, and the rest not started.... So unless they have been reviewing my eligibility in the meantime, I don’t know why it took them over a month to request my Russian police certificate.
My office is in Edmonton though, I guess they’re known for being rather slow?
My notes show that they did review my criminality and eligibility at roughly the same time. Since you are a CEC inland, you can call IRCC to get the latest update on your application. I do know that many CEC applications are processed in Edmonton, but I haven't heard of any significant differences in processing time among those VOs. My case is processed in Sydney, but I am now under SS anyway, so the application is actually processed by CBSA and CSIS now.

Hey guys, I received a ghost update in my profile yesterday. I received no mail for this. Just saw it by chance when I checked by CIC profile.
The details column showed "Application updated". When I opened the profile, there was no update to note. And the details column now show "Submitted" (as usual).

My AOR for PR is August 1, 2019 under CEC category. Recently, when i checked my submitted documents on my PR application, there is no letter of explanation document on optional document. I remember, i uploaded the document but there is a chance that i missed to upload. Not really sure. My question is whether it appears on submitted documents or not. If not, can i submit now? if yes, how can i submit. I would highly appreciate if someone can advise me. Thanks in advance.
