So below is what ecas shows:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 15, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 29, 2018.

and on main page,

Citizenship Application Status: Application Received

Meaning still not IN PROCESS, correct?

Never mind, I found on CIC about the different stages of the application process.

Sorry for the question, but what's ecas and how do you access this one? I'm still waiting for AOR for almost 3 months, so not sure what the ecas means yet.

Once you receive the AOR on which you will given an UCI (Unique Clien Identification). You can use this to check your status online. Just click on the link below and follow the steps.

I need help! My application was unfortunately returned saying they were unable to confirm my presence prior to the pr date. What happened is that I had a work permit and when I applied for a work permit extension my old work permit expired before it getting processed and by the time they denied the extension I received confirmation for pr. The agent is suggesting I create a new application but that’s crazy as I do have the physical presence. I don’t know where to find any information on how to prove them that I was in the country during that time or what number to call to clarify this miss understanding. Any info is much appreciated.

Now I remember your application was returned October 21st for missing to tick on 1 box. Did you tick the box and sent it back or did you make a new application ?

They received it August 7th. I just got it in the mail today. Nov 6....

For physical presence you could try some or all of the following that applied during the period with a gap, I used these for my PR when I renewed as evidence and with my Citizenship application so should be useful for Citizenship: copy of rental lease on a property, copy of driving insurance, copy of car ownership documents, I was in for BC so I sent a C10 statement letter from them which proved the period I was covered by MSP, you could send off for your Border Services Travel History report (I sent mine with my citizenship application) proving you were in the country, a letter from your bank, I sent copies of my T1's for the last 5 years. I sent everything I could to give as much evidence as I could - whether it was asked for or needed or not. Don't know if this is of help. Others may have some better and simpler advice. How do you know if your application is "IN PROCESS" - do you get email / letter in the mail / you keep checking on ecas?

My application was received on Aug 15th and received AOR Oct 29th via email.

Hi,

Looking for some information on usual timeline from AOR to IP. I received my AOR on Oct 16th, but havent seen any updates since. If i see in the spreadsheet i see people are getting their ecas getting updated with IP; however for me it still says App Received.

Can anyone suggest usually how much time i should wait before contacting CIC for an update on AOR to IP.
