Could you tell me what details they ask you to verify when you call them? I have applied via an attorney and have very little visibility into my application’s progress. I was thinking of calling on my own but needed to make sure I have all the info they verify. If I don’t have it, I’ll need to get it from my attorney.
I called CIC and agent told me (after a wait time of 40 mins) that my background check is in progress now. I asked again that as per online status my background is yet to be started. But she reiterated that its in progress as per her system and I should wait more. I hope this is same case for all of us, waiting for update post medicals.
Thanks for this great insight, things are moving and I wish we could have more details about biometric candidates since status can be quite misleading, we all start with background check processing but then again it might not be really the case.

They asked for profile no, full name, phone, address, dob, e-mail. I think u shud hv these ready with u unless agent specifically mentioned his mob n email in your profile for updates.
Naa, u cant rely upon the eligibility status shown on the cic profile cuz it may remain in that manner until u get ur golden mail and maybe even post that.. if the agent has confirmed that eglibilty is confirmed pss then u have crossed the biggest hurdle, its quite a relief

So if we call, eligibility answer should be among "in progress", "recommended pass", and "confirmed pass"?
Does "confirmed pass" come before or after PPR/CoPR?
