Passed the test yesterday 20/20 and was told I should be able to do my oath around late January due to the holidays. The interview was straightforward and took very little time.

I stayed in canada for the 4 years and never left. I only went to the US for shopping/events but came back the same day to Canada.

Actually if you look at some other members my timeline is relatively slow. My application was under background check for almost 4 months.

For those who applied for a passport. I know that a guarantor needs to be a Canadian citizen with a valid passport. Does it also apply to the two personal reference?

Congrats on your upcoming oath later today! The answer is: No. They must;
1: have known you for at least two years for passport applications or six months for Certificate of Identity or Refugee Travel Document applications;
2: not be your guarantor;
3: not be a family member listed below;
4: be 18 years of age or older;
5: agree to you using their name and contact information for your application.

I thought I will get the feedback from the forum about my situation. I have not had any changes in my application since it changed to processing on 30 august 2016. what do you think I should do? my pr card is expiring in august.

Congratulations! Did you get the oath invitation on your online ecas status as well? I mean any comments on your online application status. Cuz I am also waiting for oath invitation and I'm just wondering if oath invitation shows on your online status as well. Waiting for your reply
