i sent my application for sponsorship of my wife and sons on 26th of august the app. was received in cic on 29th as per tracing number now i have neither receive any letter since that time till now nor a status of case. what's wrong

According to the CIC website, they are currently processing sponsorship applications that were received August 26. You will probably hear something within the next week or so.

I can not follow you; it is not there, it is in "Permanent Residence Application Status" and it is saying Application Received and when you click on it it shows in the second row "Medical Received". Can you elaborate more what you meant?

If you will look at the explanation of the timeline under the permanent residence status, the "Medicals received " is on the row that says Decision Made.

When you click on application received you will see the various status titles and their meanings that's all that is.

I am thinking it's in reference to the categories listed in this link. It's just a note to say they matched your medicals to your file as it states the CIC will contact you if they require further medical testing done. That's what I derive from it at least.

No, it doesn't. The New Delhi office usually asks for the passport at the beginning of the process whereas other visa offices ask for them later. At least that is my observation from this forum. Probably just depends on which office you are going thru which dictates when the passport request is made. Mine will be going thru Ottawa and from past posts on other threads the request comes later in the process.

I agree with Florida Bear. From past few post from the forum it is pretty much clear, NVDO ask application early or later, it's depend on the officer. The actual time almost same at the end. Do not worry buddy..we will get it soon.
