Hi all i applied for work permit 1st January 2021 and did my biometrics on the 6th January. Today i received a Confirmation of Submission letter. However, upon checking with past applicants they said this letter should be sent before or together with the biometrics request. I really thought it’s already my medical request. Did anyone here experience the same? Is this a sign that i will also be receiving my medical request soon?

Got our CoPR last week. Inland applicant, Nova Scotia

Timeline:
January 2020 - submitted docs
March 2020 - AOR, Biometrics, Medical request
March 2020 - we did our biometrics and 1st part of Medical (physical exam) before covid restriction
May 2020 -completed medical (xray and lab tests)
July 2020 - Application already reached 100%
August 2020 - IRCC requested Background Declaration
August to December 2020 - no updates on our application, called IRCC few times to check.
January 2021 - IRCC requested another Background declaration plus employer records (still employed on the same employer)
February 2021 -CoPR

Let me clarify based on my experience. I am aipp LMIA exempted WP and when i applied for change of status i have not done any medical.

AOR: Nov 17, 2020
Biometrics request: Nov 20, 2020
Biometrics done: Dec 01, 2020
MR: Dec 22, 2020
MD: Feb 2, 2021
MP: Feb 6, 2021
Background check: in progress

It takes about 1month to get IRCC response after submitting webform. I sent an inquiry on Jan 6 and got their reply on Feb 8. You guys, just chill and patience

Pre arrival services was sent as a message a day after they asked us to submit the updated background declaration, after a week, we got the CoPR
