Hello everyone I will soon be applying for my study permit application. My brother lives in Edmonton and back in 2007 he applied for the family class immigration ( He sponsered parents and at that time i came under dependent child category I WAS A FULL TIME STUDENT) now that case is going to open and i want to enquire that in the study permit application IMM1294 there is an option HAVE YOU EVER PERVIOUSLY APPLIED FOR ANY CANADIAN VISAS(FOR EXAMPLE PERMANENET RESIDENT, TEMPORARY RESIDENT, TEMPORARY RESIDENT PERMIT) .
Should I answer YES to this Question or NO. Please help me
thanx
Remember my advice. When u speak honestly u have a second chance to reapply again but when you are caught lying forget about applying ever again. Btw , where r you applying from and where your parents reside currently
Well actually i dun have any intentions of showing of hiding things but one person told me that as u havent applied for ur immigration. Its the sponser (who in my case is my dad) have applied for my immigration so i have to answer no.
I am from peshawar pak and my parents are living here in pesh
well thats true they have all the details but its always better to give explaination becuase if u read the statement it says have You Applied.. so as a dependent child i m not the applicant its my father who applied on beside of me so technically speaking my answer should be NO
Study permit form has been changed now. Wording is slightly changed now. In previous form, it was something like "have you or family member ever applied for Canadian visa " now on the current form it is only YOU. So technically the answer should be NO.
Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?
If you answer no and the vo takes the view the answer should be yes and the vo does not accept your explaination than the vo is stuck with your answer no and may reject your app.
hi imran, generally speaking u are not from a visa exempt country, so to enter canada u must have applied for a visa in the past , u can write in the box that ur bro name xxx had applied before under xxx category in xxx year and file no xxx , also mention that u applied under dependant category
