Hi everyone, yesterday (12 August) I received a letter from IRCC requesting my passport.
My original start of study date (and the date which I submitted on my application) was 8 September, however my brother is getting married on the 8th October and I thought it might be easier to start my studies in November instead of September to allow me to attend his wedding (the courses are flexible).
I would obviously inform IRCC if I were to take this route, but at the moment, it takes them 4 weeks just to acknowledge receipt of any communication and my start date is 4 weeks away.
Would arriving later than my original start date pose any problems when I arrive in Canada? I don't want to do anything that could jeopardise my study permit.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
