Hello,
I am currently in Canada as a visitor and I wanna apply for study permit at Los Angeles CIC office,
I am asked to give biometrics,
are there any place inside Canada to give my biometrics without leaving Canada ?
I don't have US visa to go to Los Angeles, it will take additional time, money, and effort, especially that I am here with my wife and two kids,
thanks in advance,
1- thanks for concern and reply,
2- I know about this map, but there is no place inside Canada,
3- does that mean that I HAVE TO LEAVE CANADA to give biometrics ?
In the exemption section of the biometrics in CIC website it is mentioned that
"If you are from one of the countries or territory above, you do not need to give your biometrics to visit Canada if you are: in Canada and are eligible to apply for a visitor (temporary resident) visa, study permit or work permit to an office in Canada."
Does this mean that I cannot apply online for a re-entry visa?
P.S. I am already in Canada with a valid study permit.

to make the comment by PMM complete:
as long as you are applied to extend your current status, not to change your status from visitor to student or worker.

Hi Mr Energy, I see that in 2014, you were trying to apply for a Canadian study permit via the VISA office in Los Angeles without leaving Canada. Were you asked to give your biometrics? were you able to do it within Canada or did you had to leave Canada to do it? What did you do? I'm in Canada as a visitor and would like to apply for a study permit but my concern is the biometrics. Looks like it can't be done within Canada..
