Does anyone know where you can get a full set of fingerprints (paper) done in Mexico - a place closest to Puerto Vallarta? They would be used for RCMP police certificate in Canada.
It is up to immigration if they ask for a police report from Canada. In some cases they do and others they don't. If you are in Canada you can have them done electronically and have the results in 72 hours or less if nothing shows up on your record. That's nice and fast. But if you have to do them "paper method" the waiting period is 120 days or more, and then longer if something shows up on the records.
For the PGR in Mexico City my son in law went in and they told him 5 to 10 business days to get the results. His took 5 days. Luckily his aunt lived close to the embassy in Mexico City, so he gave permission for her to pick them up for him and then she forwarded them to him. Saved him a trip back to Mexico City.
The Mexican state police certificates were pretty quick too. No more than a day or two.
So i guess he is left waiting on the RCMP to do their job now.
An update to say we got the fingerprints done. Almost seems like they had the forms all along, just wanted to see some dinero!
But they are done now and sent away. Another step completed.
This message is for Monarch. You wrote that you were looking for fingerprints near Vallarta. I live here and need a set of fingerprints for citizenship in Canada . You mentioned you got them. May I ask where did you go to get your finger prints? Thank you.
