Received BVL today without medical request. Last update was on April 26. So its a denial right?

You should have got the medical request, that is true. But if you were refused you would have got the refusal along with your BVL. The timelines are messed up nowadays. The only thing I can say to you is hope for the best. Where did you apply from?

I’d tell you what I would have done.
One week won’t make any difference now. It all depends on your class start date, your present job scenario, last deferral date and fee refund date.

A general advice. If they want to give you results by Aug 6th. Then raising GCMS request won’t make much difference. Your BVL is also too late. If your course starts wayyyy into the fall (Sep mid) then wait if you have a fear that it will delay your processing. If time is of essence, raise a GCMS request ASAP. 10$ well spent.

I haven’t personally ordered any. But a lot of folks used this particular one and I haven’t heard many complaints around. So I guess they are safe and professional.
I would have ordered from them only, if I were to.

Response from webform was pretty much like this along with some other useless crap.

I called them....they told my file is at Ottawa office and file is under progress, nothing else....there's something Terribly wrong with IRCC ....for me it's almost 4 months since I applied for my study permit!!

Yes, many Non-SDS applicants have already got decisions. You can tell this from the silence in this thread from a past couple of days. We are among the few unlucky outliers.

Applied: April 1
BIL: April 2
Biometrics done: April 6
Medical exam request: July 8
Medical exam done: July 28
Medical passed: July 29
Elegibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
PPR: Waiting

I'd like to know how long they take to request your passport after you passed the medical exam and how long does it take for it to come back, because I bought a flight to Canada for September 9, and I'm a little scared it's not going to come back in time. Do you guys think it's enough time to send my passport and get it back?
