All completed except background check which is in progress since 26th april, the date of my medical update. I got the access that day.

In tracker on the right hand upper corner there is a field “Updated Date”. What’s showing there?

My background has been in progress since 7 weeks now. Last update on background check was on 8th may on gckey stating we will let u know when we start your background check.
On gc key my nackground went from- IN PROGRESS to NA to IN PROGRESS to We will let you know when we start your background check.
Can anyone share some insight on how long can it take. I know no one knows, but tentatively asking.

Eligibility on 5th may

True no one knows, the timeline is from 4 weeks to 40 weeks and even more for some of us. But I think you should call them once or raise the webform to keep your file moving. Also ask about your VO that will give you an idea if it's working at their regular pace or there's some issue.

Is eligibility (by any chance) depending on background check too? Like I have seen most of the people getting eligibility and background completed on same day and getting mail the next day!

Nope, Eligibility is normally completed before BGC/Security has even started for CEC/FSW applicants. PNP BGC/Security normally begins early and Eligibility starts after.

I was a PNP, and after receiving my CBSA Notes, My eligibility was started after Info sharing/bgc/security had all passed. Though, it only took them 1 day to review and pass my eligibility.

Hi everyone! My AOR is April 12, FSW-O. On tracker, eligibility got completed on the 5th of June, background is still in process. Also, on the 5th I had an update on GCkey so my BGC turned to N/A from “we are processing your application”. Anyone had a similar timeline and how long did you wait for BGC to clear? Thanks

It's almost done now. Wait for the good news BG N/A means they don't have to check BG anymore its done.

Last update was 12th may when i called them. Actual update was 8th may when my eligibility got completed

How long did security take?

It took about 2-3 months all up. AOR was 28 Nov. The first note about my BCG/Security was around 12th December, and then those were passed on 01 Feb.

Info sharing was ongoing the whole time and completed on the 16th May, Eligibility started and passed until 17th May.
