Got done with my in-person interview today (SCR office). It was nothing complicated; the entire event took about 10 minutes. The officer asked to see my passport and 2 IDs and asked a few questions about my travel history, intentions to sponsor family members in the future, current address, and confirmed my answers to some of the questions on the application.
At the end, I was told that everything on my file looks good and that I will be scheduled for oath in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Hello all
Just to let you all know that I received my oath invitation email today for a virtual ceremony on June 28.
Hope you all will get your invites soon.
Thanks
Jas

Thanks for the update, very interesting scarborough, where I was being processed says 4-6 weeks and Mississauga where they pushed me off to says expect up to 4 months. The inconsistency and lack of transparency is staggering.

You have to wait - there is no set timeline - it depends on the office - wait up to 6 days before the event and if you still don’t get it contact IRCC - usually you don’t have to wait that long - you should get it in the next 2 weeks hopefully.

Thank you so much for your detailed response and for sure sounds like a great idea
My application was stuck at the test completed from Nov 10 and BG completed on may 23 but updated on tracker on 25th May and on May 31 around 4:23 pm I received an email requesting a copy of an I’d that was expired in Nov 2022 and I sent it right way and received an auto reply and 5:37 pm the agent reply me back saying my documents were well received and they don’t need anything from my side and they will complete my file shortly and put me in the queue for ceremony and the wait time is 1 to 4 months and my tracker updated on 2nd June for all turned green.
Now again waiting game begins lol.
Did they request the copy of the IDs via email? What did the name and email address looked like? I wonder if I got one and it went to the spams or something...

I also had my interview online on Monday and it was same like yours only lasted 12 minutes. Officer checked ID, Passport, address and asked few question regarding application.
There was a ghost update yesterday on my online tracker but still showing LPP in progress.

Hey! Yes, I remembered you mentioning the 4 months timeline that the Mississauga office told you. The officer who interviewed me said that the oath scheduling is moving faster now so I should keep an eye on the tracker. 4 to 6 weeks is the ideal timeframe but could take slightly longer. It seems the email will be sent approx. 2 weeks before but the tracker should be updated much earlier.
Yes, if you have been selected for an interview, generally the online tracker will update first indicating that you need to attend an interview. And then in the next few days, you will receive an official email with all details on where and how to attend the interview. The email address was IRCC.DNSCRCitizenshipGTACEN-RGTRECCitoyenneteSCRRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. I believe this is different for each processing office.
