Haven’t got any AOR yet but able to link the file on GCKEY.
And then tried to check the status on ECAS, no help ( couldn’t find anything on ecas)

So now, we wait for them to review background then give us a decision, is that correct? If decision is approved then visa/passport will follow decision?

Hi everyone. My application for outland sponsorship was received on April 23, 2018. Received AOR today and was able to link the application to my account. Status says sponsorship in process as of May 29, 2018. Please add me to the tracker.

Also, I see 3 in process on ECAS. One for citizenship and 2 related to my spousal sponsorship. Just curious if this is normal?

Normally, it takes 30-45 days but as you can see 23rd April applicant got an update, Its time you call them and get an update.

Are we able to call the Mississauga office regarding AOR? They received mine April 17th but still no response? Im worried.

It would just be the CIC "helpline" you'd call. Call as close to their "opening time" as possible as there can be lengthy queues!

Yesterday my husband got an email that approved him as sponsor. So SA Received 5/30/18

My husband (PA) received an email today from CIC about linking our account. when we linked it through GCKey, it says under Application status: "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

- Is this AOR1?? It seems early - I was expecting it Monday or Tuesday based on the timelines I've been seeing! I mailed our application on Apr 26 and it was received on Apr 27.
- Does this mean they for sure won't be mailing our application back? As in, can I have confidence it will be moving forward now?
- I've seen people talking about ECAS as something separate from GCKey, but the email didn't mention it. What is ECAS? Do I need to login there too?

Hi! Yes you can be confident it won’t be returned! Congratulations! ECAS is an online tool where you can check the status of the app. You can check with your UCI. You can get your UCI on gckey. ECAS is both for PA and Sponsor
