FP is required when a partial or full name match occurs during security screening. It is very difficult to say whether a name match will occur in anyone;s case. FP process is not a passive fingerprint storage process, it involves screening for current criminal and vulnerability checks. Past fingerprints will be with RCMP and not with CIC. If no name match occurs, you will not asked for a FP screening, if it does you will be asked to redo again, CIC will not use past FPs for screening.

I got my IP status 2 months after AOR.
To be exact AOR 9 the May and IP 9th july,so you will get it in this week.

AOR is sent via email. ECAS is only active once you get your AOR. Make sure you check your junk/spam mail for the email

I sent my minor child's passport for renewal as we have to travel and it will expire next month. Our citizenship application is under process, how do I update CIC with the new passport details? Do I need to send new forms or just a copy of the renewed passport ?

The best thing to do is to call the Call Centre and ask them to make a note on your file that you are sending a copy of new passport. Then, mail a copy of the new passport with a simple explanation in a cover letter. I do not think new forms are required.

Added AOR is usually sent by email if you have provided one, else it is a snail mail. @mastahbruce Can you also share your Physical Presence days?
