There are 2 notes stating "PReVU verified (applicant information)". One from May/2018 by CPC-Ottawa and the other one is the most recent note by an agent that I have. It's from June 28th, also from CPC Ottawa.

Well as per the link I sent you that means your security has started. Definitely upload it and have @legalfalcon go through it. It could be you are in SS

It sounds like you could be in SS based on what @gauravahluwalia is saying. I hope that isn't the case and the explanation is much simpler.

That's the thing that frustrates me the most: There's nothing to be done but wait. You are completely helpless in the process. They said they need to review work experience in order to confirm eligibility. This was said back in May/2018. No ADR, no e-mail, nothing. I have since then uploaded additional documents in the hopes of speeding the process along, otherwise I'd now be 10+ months in for them to request the docs and then MAYBE move on in the process.

My medical expiry date is 03Apr 2019 but I have not received any re medical request and I have submitted my passport, is this necessary in all cases they ask for re medical and also I have submitted my passport on 25 Jan , by when I can expect to return back

Just wondering, does anyone know if there is a maximum time period Cic would take to process applications?

My profile has had no movement in the past 8 months and it's been 9 months since I applied. Just tryin to figure out if there is a chance that It could take more than an year to process.

What is your last known status of BGC & BGC?

Your best options are:
1: Call ircc
2: Raise CSE
3: Order GCMS notes

I recommend try them all together

Have done all of em. Tats how I knew there has been no movement. It's been sitting at someone's desk for 8 months.

Security hasn't started yet ,criminality cleared long back. Stuck at eligibility check, not exactly sure why they have all the info they asked for except in 2 letters.

Does your gcms show eligibility still RR and security cleared?
Cos from what I understand, bgc starts when eligibility is pass or recommended passes.

Same here. Criminality cleared long back, but review required for Eligibility and Security Not Started. I see some say Background Check does not start until Eligibility pass or recommended pass. I don't think that is true in my case.

Pretty much similar situation for me. Approaching 10 months in next 10 days. GCMS notes shows there was some work in April, some in November, other than that nothing. Calling IRCC, but they are saying they dont know the status if processing is being done outside Canada, which is the case for me. Still saying reviewing eligibility, we havent started your background check yet.

In the VFS website, there is a section for tracking your application and VFS customer care contact number. You can track the status of your submitted passport there. I ordered GCMS on Jan 4th and just received it. As per GCMS, on Dec 19th, My file was approved and RFV. However, my application status in CIC website still says BGC under progress and they are still reviewing my Eligibility. This is after 40 days after the file got approved. No emails/mails too.

Any idea what is going on and what I should do?

You can call IRCC and ask for an update. What does RFV stand for?

Whats your VO? I suggest you raise cse, call them as well. Also send ndvo an email (even if not your vo) and they might direct your message to the proper people
