Me too, i moved from MEP to IP1 on the 20 of April. maybe because he is a CEC hence the quick security check since he is already in canada.
anyway, i pray for a speedy process for everyone of us.

Here is my current status. I'm a bit confused because it says BG check started but I haven't passed medicals yet. I received a call from the Dr. who did our medicals saying my wife's x-ray didn't turn out clear. She is scheduled to retake it on Saturday. I'm guessing this is why medicals aren't passed yet. I didn't know they would start BG without medicals passed. Any idea what stage I am in?

Yea, the officer can always move on with BG without medical passed. Strikeharsh (a member in this thread) have same situation with yours. Being in IP2 is good. All you need to focus is on your wife's x-ray. Just try inquiring from the Dr. whats going on.
