The test itself is short. You can be done in few minutes (20 multiple choice questions) . its almost the same time you need to do the driving license test.
After the test you will interview an officer. You might wait for some time until your turn comes or go the first or second one, it depends on how they order the people for the interview.

I also received my email with an invitation to the Oath Ceremony. Here is my timeline:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 20, 2017.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 5, 2017.
We started processing your application on May 11, 2017.
We sent you a notice on October 5, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 21, 2017. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us. *Note: Citizenship and Immigration Canada does sometimes schedule events on Saturdays or Sundays.
We sent you a notice on November 8, 2017 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 6, 2017. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
The ceremony will be in Scarborough Town Centre, the same place as the test.
Just Passed my test yesterday, Scarborough office ( I live in Mississauga) test was easy, waited for the interview, which was fairly quick, woman was very nice, she checked my papers then she said she will grant me citizenship and i should wait for the oath invite soon.
