Hello April 2013 applicants! I was about to become one of you today, when...
Well, we had everything nicely packed for the courier today [outland spouse sponsorship] when I noticed that they changed the format of the IMM 1017 for medicals ever since Nov 1 2012!
I had my medicals done in December and the doctor gave me the old one [copy 2 of medical examination record].
I was relieved that I hadn't sent the package as it was but I started panicking immediately when I realized that I don't know what to do next!
I'm now trying to find out if anyone has sent the old format since Nov 1 2012 and had it approved by CPC-M and/or the VO.
Going to call the doctor and the VO in my country tomorrow - hoping that the doctor will agree to give me the new IMM 1017 based on the medical examination which I already had done OR that the VO will be certain that the old form is acceptable. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable with sending the old one - what if CPC-M decides they don't approve of it?
Do you have any ideas on this issue?

If I were you I would send what you have and get yourself in the queue If CIC needs another medical they will advise you of that, meanwhile you get the new format medical ready while waiting. Good luck

Hello greatness, I did send the whole payment for my I paid like $1190 with the application for open work permit. My lawyer said that its up to you if you want to include the $490 or if you want to wait for their request.
I'm not sure, you sent your application already right? I know you still have to print them and send it to them but I don't know that procedure, because I paid mine in one shot and I included them with my application. Maybe you can call CIC for advise.
