Appying online vs mail in

I am in the Caribbean and want to apply for a Student visa. Should I apply online or via mail. Because I am applying for my spouse and child which way is better.

Online option is always better as it takes less time provided u know the procedure of applying coz in online application u have to do all the stuff by yourself.
