I am in the Caribbean and want to apply for a study permit and also apply for my spouse and child. Has anyone applied online? Which way would you say is the better way to apply.

Thanks

this solely depends on from where you are applying in Caribbean..

let me know your country exactly (Caribbean is consist of lots small countries) then i can suggest you exactly what can be the appropriate option for you.

tc..

Generally speaking, Paper application takes a lot longer than online applications. But this is not always the case.

I am applying from Turks & Caicos Islands
It does not matter. Applycations submitted online are concedered to be processed faster. (according to CIC and people experince:however, it also depends on applicant biography, how complicated it is)

I was reading on another section where lot of people have been waiting for 3mths with no information. That made online seem to scary.

As I said it depends on those people biography complication and also on the average time of processing in each particular VO.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=031&t=3
It is also obvious that documents applied online get into CIC computer system faster that those on paper.
