Sent Passport: Nov 28. Based on Canada Post track info, it arrived at Nov 29th, 10 AM
Status change to Approved: Dec 13, however, I got the notification email on Dec 14.
Still waiting for them to mail my passport back.

It would be great if someone who has recently received his/her passport from VAC New York can share the timeline as well.
Here's my timeline:
Passport arrived at VAC mailroom: 8th, Dec.
Passport received by VAC: 12th, Dec.
Passport in transit to Visa Office: 12th, Dec.
Received & Under Consideration: 13th, Dec.
Do you think I will be able to get it back by Thursday (21st, Dec.) next week? Many thanks!

I think that would only happen if they mail it 18th Monday.
I have a flight on 21st. My application got approved on 13th and the tracking number still not active till now. Based on others timeline, it takes CIC about 10 days from approved it to mail it.

My timeline - Visitor Visa for Indian citizen, applying from US.

Passport received by NYC VAC per UPS: Nov 22nd
No confirmation or tracking number from the VAC till December 13 when I called and got the tracking number from them.
On November 29th, there was an update about Counterfoil generated and Document is valid on the CIC website. As of December 15 11am EST, I don't see that table in my CIC application page anymore.
On CIC website, I see some more Counterfoil updates on 12/13 - which says invalid and on 12/15 which says valid. My application now shows Approved.
