Applying for TRV from inside Canada already having OWP

Hi,

I already have an open work permit which was expired by the end of August this year. I then applied for extension of OWP which is approved till May 2019. Should I be applying for TRV to get the visa attested on my passport since its required to enter Canada if I want to travel overseas?

I started my online application and I see that IMM5257E form is the same as the one for visitor visa. It is asking for Details of Visit to Canada while I am already in Canada. There are few more questions similar to visitor visa and I am not sure if I am doing this correctly since I am already in Canada and this is only a visa to my already approved OWP.
