Applying for Summer intake

This question is especially for those who are currently studying in a canadian uni and understand the scenario....

Is applying to a uni for the summer intake a wise decision ? I mean normally ppl take the summers off and work... and if i go in the summer session then i'll have to take three consecutive sems :S... and if i go for the summer session and take an off, wont that create a prob for me ?

And generally, is skipping a semester allowed ? What usually ppl do if they fall in a crisis regarding money ?

* At present I am not in Canada!

1. With Summer Intake, there is an oppurtunity to work "full time" as a Student. But if you are international student on Visa, thn you are not legally allowed to work before completing minimum 6 months of studies (and that too with passing grade!). so, it doesn't matter if you join in summer/winter.

2. No, you are not allowed to skip a semester, infact you must be enrolled in a "required minimum numbers of Credit Hour Course"

3. and when people fall in money crisis, thn they simply remember God ! (don't worry almost each University run programs to deal with such cases)

there is no harm even if you apply for winter session.
