Hi All,

I recently sent in my permanent residency application under the Family Class Sponsorship (I'm American, husband is Canadian). He's in the military and we found out we are moving to New Brunswick this summer. I'd already been considering going back to school and now we'll be very close to UNB.

If I were to apply to school as an international student, would there be an issue in obtaining a student visa while having an outstanding permanent residency application?

Thanks for any insight.

As an American your application will likely be done processing very quickly. Why would you not just wait for the PR before going to school? International tuition charges are astronomical.

But to answer your question, I can't see there being an issue with applying.
