Applying for PGWP on study permit extension

Hello guys!! I hope any of you have any insight or experience to share
I have applied for study permit extension on november 25 2021 as well as an extension for Coop permit ,nothing yet
I have submitted a webform last week and a request for GCMS notes today, but i expect generic responses, in like 30 days from now ( probably gonna be delayed too)
My study permit expired on February 25 2022 as well as my coop work permit
My internship is taking place may 2 and finishing 27may, so i expect my final grades or diploma by start of july or end of june 2022.
If i apply for pgwp on STUDY PERMIT MAINTAINED STATUS, am i allowed to work full time while waiting for a decision of my pgwp
I have seen many different answers online,

No, if you apply for pgwp with an implied status since your study permit expired, you cant work until your pgwp application is approved.
