Looking for suggestions on study permit extension

I heard that the study permit extension can be only applied 90 days before the expiration date. And my study permit will expire on Sep 30, does it mean I can only apply for extension after Jul 1?

I need to apply for the coop work permit while applying for extension, and I need to get the coop work permit before Aug 18. So, if I apply on Jul 1, is it possible to get the coop work permit before Aug 18? And if not, can I write an explanation letter to cic and apply for extension earlier?

I don't think you only can apply 90 days before your initial permit expires, mine was expiring on July 10 but I applied for the extension on feb 27 along with a coop permit as well and it got approved.

I honestly suggest you apply for it as soon as you can.
