Applying EI maternity benefits while PR inprogress and Work permit about to expire in 4months

Hi,
-My express Entry application is currently in progress since 3 months
-My work permit is about expire by January 25 2020.
-I am currently Pregnant and would be going on maternity leave starting from October 1.
-Currently working as Full timer in a company.

My concern here is , Can I apply for EI maternity benefits for one year once I start my leave by October 1st?
My current status is valid only till January 25 2020, I might get PR before this Date or I will be applying Bridging open work permit. Can I still apply EI for one year in advance?
OR
Can I apply EI till January 2020 as of now, and restore my EI from January 2020 to October 2020 once I receive my PR?

I would really appreciate if I get clarified for the same.
