Im about to apply to an open work permit though my husband's close one and I have some questions
A bit of context before asking them: I applied for a second visitor extension in December 2020 and it was approved until August 08, 2021, so in July I applied for a third extension (a bit before getting married and already as a common law) and I still don't have an answer of that one
· My questions are:
- In the form IMM 5710 I have to write when does my present status ends, but I can't write august 8 as some people suggested because I can't validate the form with a past date, what should I write then? Should I write today's date and send an explanation letter saying that I needed to write another date in order to validate the form and that I applied for an extension?
- Is it true that you can't apply to an open work permit if you are on implied status?
