Hey all. A little about my situation: I currently have an outland application with IRCC, and I'm going to enter Canada with my husband under dual intent with a TRV. Since we're going to Quebec, we're looking at potentially more than one year of waiting time. I want to make the most the time while I wait for a decision to be reached on my spousal sponsorship application, so I'm evaluating whether I would be enrolled at a university.
Anyone here ever applied for a study permit while waiting for a decision to be reached on a spousal sponsorship application. Could you please share your experience? Any advice?
There is nothing to prevent you from applying for a study permit while waiting for your spousal sponsorship to be processed. As you are in Quebec, you will require a CAQ.
