Any info on processing time?

I submitted the application for OWP under new policy on Feb 3rd 2021
Please keep posting if anybody receives or knows something about the timeline.
Really wants to start work ASAP

I submitted pgwp under public policy on Feb 4th 2021. received a letter to authorize to continue working under same conditions.

applied under public policy here are my timelines::

Feb 4th application submitted
Feb 8th. UCI number added to profile
Feb 9th received a letter from IRCC ..WPEXT only except PGWP. pdf document

In document it shows your are authorize to work under same conditions until June 8 2021. or unti we made decision on your application..

I submitted the IMM form, a photo, my passport+ current pgwp and a letter of explanation. (I could include more supporting docs, like a job offer, but I did not since it was not required to include in the application.)

Feb 1 - received WPEXT only except PGWP letter from IRCC

With this letter, I am authorized to work until June 1. Current PGWP is expiring April 1.

did you select “Apply for work permit for the same employer” or “Apply for Work permit for the first time or for a new employer” ?? Because I went with the first.

IMM + Passport + digital Photo + Current Wp + previous study permit + Letter of Explanation + currently Im working a Job letter (not required this document I just added for reference).

I also chose the first option. Probably not a big deal. But as chpraveen52 explained, the second option is probably more suitable.

Yeah I suppose. I attached the required letter with my application specifying im applying for OWP under this policy. So we should be good.

So basically you did not get full 18 months from April 2021 but from when you submitted the application it counts 18 months?? Is that correct?

Hi I have close work permit right now w/ LMIA from my employer. I am a holder of PGWP expired last year December. Am I still eligible to apply for the PGWP extension under the new public policy (18months open work permit)? Any idea or have same situation here? Thank you.
