Apply for Alberta Province Nominee with an Open Work Permit

Dear all,

I am now holding an Open Work Permit. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at an University in Alberta. Therefore, I would like to apply for Alberta PNP in the Employer Driven Stream (Skilled Worker Criteria). I know that a positive LMIA is required in this category. However, I did not have a LMIA since I am holding the Open Work Permit. Thus, I would like to ask if I have to get the LMIA from my employer to apply for Alberta PNP or I do not need one since I have the Open Work Permit.

Your open work permit is LMai exempted .So you dont need one
