Apply canadian PR after marriage

Hi everyone,

Currently i m in canada on work permit for more than 2 years and planning to apply for PR. Currently m engaged and planning for court marriage in infia next month so that i can apply for me and my spouse at the same time. In this case do i just need a marriage certificate to apply or CEC will ask for other proofs as well like marriage photos, videos etc.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

Submit documents as per check list. But they may not approve visit visa.

That sounds much too difficult. Surely there is an easier way?

I am not adding my spouse means i don't have PR yet and haven't applied for for the same . I am on work permit. My question was, i'm doing court marriage next month and after that i will apply for PR for both(me and my spouse) at the same time so what documents they will be needing from me, if i apply for PR for both. Since at this point of time, i'm just doing court marriage, so i will not have traditional wedding photos etc. Is just marriage certificate is enough or i need to show other proofs as well.

Did you even bother to read the link I sent? Did you even bother to click on it?
Your question is irrelevant! And it is not getting any more clear "now"!

Let's assume for a second that your browser does not want to open the link I shared. Maybe it is blocked on your computer for some reason! Here is the break down:

1/ You get married
2/ You apply for PR
3/ You add your spouse into the same PR application - 1 application
4/ You follow the checklist and add the relevant documents
5/ If down the road at some point they get concerned about your marriage they will conduct an interview
6/ In that interview they might ask for any proof of marriage, ie, the things you mentioned
7/ If you convince the interviewer you're good to go

And yeah I won't bother to share the checklist with you. You better do your studies yourself.

That is the wrong link. This link is for somebody who is already PR to sponsor his spouse who is already in Canada. First, he's not already PR and 2nd he is not going to sponsor his wife, they are applying together and 3rd, his wife is not in Canada and may not even get the visit visa to enter Canada.

Since you are not sponsoring your wife but including her on your PR application as your spouse, no proof will be needed except for the marriage certificate.
