Hi, sorry not really sure where to ask this and thought since I'm applying for PR through the family class I thought I'd add it here, feel free to move it to the necessary secrion.
So I'm currently waiting for PR, but I have received my AIP letter and I have successfully applied and gotten a temporary OHIP Card which is in letter form till I receive a physical copy through the post. I'm wanting to learn to drive, as it seems a necessity here in Canada, and I was wondering even though I haven't got PR yet if I could apply for a G1 license with my "UK" Passport as ID and my temporary OHIP letter which I have till I get my physical card, as when I applied for this OHIP the person at Service Ontario was pretty shocked I didn't have an Ontario Driver's License and kinda made it clear I didn't need any Government ID to apply for one. Anyone know of I can apply for a G1 with these things and had a similar situation?
To help I'm obviously in Ontario and applying for PR here, I'm a UK citizen but only have an our of date UK Provisional License as I never learnt to drive in the UK either.
